Our first wedding of 2010........

30th January saw our first wedding of the year with stunning clear blue skies and a dusting of the white stuff!

The wedding was of Georgina and James at St Mary’s church, Haddenham in Buckinghamshire which can only be described as a beautiful 13th century church in a typical English village with a (frozen) duck pond just outside the lych gate; with the light covering of snow the setting was idyllic.

James and the boys got ready at the Dinton Hermit, a lovely country Inn in the small village of Ford between Aylesbury and Thame whilst Georgina was getting ready at her Mum's house in Thame. With Mum being an interior designer Mark was delighted to have some great interiors to show the wedding dress and shoes off with. Snow on the fire logs by the back door provided a great background for the bouquet shot and sets him a high standard to keep up for the rest of the year!

The boys, well prepared for the winter weather with the hip flasks filled to the brim set off for the church via the Green Dragon in Haddenham for a swift pint before going onto the church to welcome the guests. Meanwhile the cars were arriving outside Mum's house for Georgina, her Dad, the three bridesmaids and Mum. The two Rolls Royces made the 10 minute journey to the church with grand finesse with several heads turning along the way and people waving at the wedding cars.

Georgina was greeted by her bridesmaids, mum and onlookers including several ducks skating around on the pond! The grand entrance was as magical as ever and Georgina must have done her parents proud as her Dad lead her down the aisle to her groom.

After a short service and a few group shots outside the church we all headed off to the Notley Farm Tythe barn, Long Crendon. After some winter Pimms to warm everyone up we did a couple more group photos outside (as quickly as possible because it was rather chilly!!) Georgina and James then braved it for some lovely shots of them on their own. By now the sun was going down and the light was incredible so in true Lord & Leverett fashion we had to make the most of that!!

Thanks to Georgina and James for braving the elements and making your wedding photographs so special. Below are a selection of some of our favourite images from throughout the day.
