Toastmasters

What is a Toastmaster we hear you all say? Well, its not a product you would buy from John Lewis or someone who is particularly good at making breakfast, but a gentleman in a red coat who will help with the smooth running of your wedding day in a calm and professional manner.

We have worked with several Toastmasters now at various weddings up and down the country and every time we glimpse the red jacket on arrival at the venue we know everyone will be in safe hands! Toastmasters are generally semi-retired gents used to public speaking who will help in any way they can during your wedding reception. They will put button holes in for your guests, show people where to sit, direct people to the loos, help in rounding guests up for the group photos, to announcing the bride and groom into the wedding breakfast and introducing the various people before the speeches. As well as doing all this they will be working behind the scenes if anything else needs doing. Once, we had a marquee wedding reception and the cake had fallen off the table before everyone arrived at the reception. The Toastmaster had stepped in and helped to 'fix' the cake before the bride and groom arrived.

Toastmasters are not expensive to book and are really worth every penny. In fact we are working with one this weekend and look forward to working with him and having a chat during the wedding breakfast, they've usually got some fun stories to tell!
